Terms of Service

Who these terms are with
GradeGenie is operated by Maanvik Gupta, based in Delhi, India. Using GradeGenie means you accept these terms. If you are under 18, use it with a parent or guardian’s agreement.
What GradeGenie does, and what it is not
GradeGenie uses AI to mark practice answers against the Cambridge IGCSE syllabuses, to build practice questions and papers, and to make flashcards and cheat sheets.
It is a practice tool, not an examiner. The marks and feedback are an informed estimate produced by a language model. They are not official Cambridge marks, they carry no weight with any exam board, and they can be wrong. Do not treat a GradeGenie mark as a prediction of your real grade, and do not submit its output as your own coursework; that is your school’s academic honesty policy, not ours, and breaking it is on you.
GradeGenie is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Cambridge Assessment International Education.
Your account
Keep your login details to yourself, and give us an email address you actually control. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One account per person.
Fair use
Do not:
- make multiple accounts to get around the free credit allowance;
- call the API automatically, or resell what GradeGenie produces;
- upload anything that is not schoolwork, or anything unlawful;
- upload another person’s work or personal information without them agreeing to it.
We may suspend an account that does these things. Where it is plainly accidental we will say so first.
Credits and plans
Free accounts get a monthly credit allowance, and each request costs credits in proportion to the work it takes, so a long cheat sheet costs more than a short flashcard set. The allowance resets on the first of each month and does not roll over. Plus removes the limit.
Prices are shown in the currency for your region and are set per region, not converted. Payment terms are in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Your work stays yours
Everything you write remains yours. You give us permission to process it only to provide the service: marking it, generating from it, and showing it back to you. We do not claim ownership of your answers, and we do not use your work to train our own models.
Availability
GradeGenie is a young product and depends on services we do not control. It may be unavailable, and features may change or be withdrawn. We will avoid breaking things that matter during exam season, but we cannot promise uninterrupted access.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, GradeGenie is provided as it is. We are not liable for exam results, missed grades, or decisions taken on the strength of AI-generated feedback. If we are found liable regardless, that liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending it
Close your account whenever you like: Settings → Your data → Delete my account removes it and everything stored with it straight away, or email support@gradegenie.app. We may close an account that breaks these terms. If we close yours without cause, we will refund the unused part of anything you have paid.
Which law applies
GradeGenie is operated from India, so these terms and any dispute about them are governed by Indian law, and the courts of India have jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer somewhere else, this does not take away the protection your own country’s consumer law gives you, or your right to bring a claim where you live. Nothing here overrides a right you have that cannot be signed away.
If something goes wrong
Email us first. Most things are a misunderstanding or a mistake on our side, and both are quicker to fix directly than through anyone else. We aim to reply within 2 working days and to resolve complaints within 30.
If that does not settle it, you keep every legal route you would otherwise have, including going to court, or to a consumer forum or data-protection regulator where one applies. Emailing us first is a courtesy, not a condition.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters to you, we will tell you by email before the change takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will move. Carrying on using GradeGenie after that means you accept the new version; if you would rather not, close your account and we will refund the unused part of anything you have paid.
