Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated 30 August 2026
Paid plans are not live yet
Right now there is nothing to buy. GradeGenie has no checkout, takes no card details and charges nobody, so at the moment there is nothing to refund either.
This policy is published in advance so you can read it before that changes rather than after. When paid plans do open, these are the terms they will open on, and anyone who has an account will be told first.
Try it before you pay
Every account gets a monthly credit allowance for free, with no card required. Use it first; that is what it is there for. Paying should be a decision you make after GradeGenie has already been useful to you.
Cancelling
Cancel any time from Settings → Membership, or by emailing support@gradegenie.app. No notice period and nothing to justify.
When you cancel, Plus stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then stops. You are not charged again. Your account, your marks and your decks all remain; you simply return to the free allowance.
Refunds
- Within 14 days of your first payment, ask and we will refund it in full. No questions.
- Charged by mistake (a renewal you meant to cancel, or a double charge), tell us and we will refund it.
- GradeGenie was broken for a meaningful stretch of your billing period and we could not fix it, we will refund that period.
Beyond that, part-months are not normally refunded, because you keep access until the period ends. If your situation is unusual, write to us; we would rather sort it out than argue over a few pounds.
How to ask
Email support@gradegenie.app from the address on your account and say what happened. We aim to reply within 2 working days and to approve or explain within 5 working days.
When the money arrives
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method. Card and UPI refunds usually settle in 5 to 10 working days, depending on your bank; that part is out of our hands once it has been sent.
Exam season passes
The one-off exam season pass is a single payment covering a fixed period. The 14-day rule applies to it as well. After that it is not refundable, since it is bought for a period that is already running.
